Raise the Roof..
housing for all

The Inn is very excited to announce that it is undertaking to provide a much-needed emergency shelter/transitional housing facility for the community.  The proposed facility will have 20 emergency beds and 20 transitional housing beds.  The emergency shelter bed will be in a dormitory style room while the transitional housing beds will be in apartment style units with 2 - 4 beds per unit.  The emergency shelter will provide temporary shelter for those who find themselves with out a bed for the night while the transitional housing units will provided longer term temporary accommodation along with supports to assist the residents in improving and developing their life skills to enable them to move out into independent units and better retain their housing.

The facility will be staffed 24 hours a day with strained staff that will provide supervision, supports and counselling.

The Inn is undertaking a search to locate possible facilities, considering factors such as the ability to accommodate the programs, current zoning, renovation costs, proximity to other services, etc.

Many thanks to the Young Professionals who have dedicated this year's race to the start of a capital fund to help purchase and renovate the facility.  The Inn is working will all levels of government to seek assistance with sources of operating revenues.

Making a Donation

Both food and cash donations are essential to our operation.  The community give generously during our Food Drives but there are expenses for items that cannot be donated.  The high number of visitors to our programs make it more and more difficult to get through with our food stock collected from Food Drives.
